The Gelmax® Water Soluble Pouch is a simple approach to fluid management that is suitable for institutional or home care. It relieves some of the boredom of menial tasks to release care giving time and provides safe, effective clean up method as well as making it more pleasant for all concerned by controlling odor.
The water-soluble pouch contains a powder made from sodium acrylate that is ideal for use in small containers such as (urinal, suction bags, vials, vomit bowls, pouches, etc). The pouch wrapping quickly dissolves upon contact with any liquid and the released powder activates to solidify the liquid.
The Gelmax® Water Soluble Pouch is highly efficient and economical. It absorbs up to 459 times its own weight in liquid and the 7g packet will absorb up to 500ml of urine in a matter of seconds.
The pouch contents have an odor neutralizing formula that makes it suitable for cleaning up vomit, urine and liquid stool. The active ingredients in the powder work by slowing down the decay process of urea into ammonia which also means the risk of germ spread is reduced.
The super-absorbent qualities makes the Gelmax® Water Soluble Pouch suitable for bacteriology laboratorial use. The pouch can be used to manage the dissemination of the reagents of liquids and pathogenic germs. It is particularly useful for infectious isolations, oncology, emergencies, maternity and radiology.
The Pouches need to stored in dry conditions and handled with dry hands only.
