Natural Disasters:

In recent years has been an increasing amount of natural disasters.   From Hurricanes, and Earthquakes to Tsunamis. During any one of these one of these disasters one of the first problems that might happen is the lack of water pressure. With no water, the use of a regular toilet becomes impossible.   This can lead to health, and environmental issues.   These problems became a reality with the recent hurricanes that struck New Orleans, Florida and the Gulf Coast.   With tens of thousands of people homeless due to the devastation, and no water pressure to flush toilets the problem of Hepatitis A Virus (HAV) became a problem. Hepatitis A is contracted by contact with feces and can be casually transmitted. Cryptosporidiosis that is a diarrheal disease also became a factor.   Cholera can be contracted.   Cholera is contracted directly through tainted water or food, or indirectly from contact to the feces or vomit of an infected person.   These problems are all related to "Personal Waste Management". Nowhere is a portable toilet management more needed in a disaster situation.   From the victims of the disaster to the relief effort workers, volunteers, and military personal portable toilets are needed to help keep disease and cleanliness under control.  There are a number of products that can be used in these situations.   Powders and liquids can turn fluids into a manageable gel in a matter of seconds.   These products are safe for the environment, and safe to dispose of in any landfill.    Making management of human waste on a large scale a task that can be handled with great ease, and keeping the environment, and disaster area disease free.
