Handigrip grab bars use suction technology to fix to non-porous surfaces and the range of sizes means they fit most bathrooms. If you however, have an unusual shaped bathroom or some angles that are not easily accessible, traditional flat facing grab bars are not suitable.
The Cardan Joint Adaptor is designed to work with Mobeli and Handigrip grab bars making the bars suitable for awkward positions, even across corners. Available in pairs, the joint is a pivoting unit made from aluminum that fits between the suction pad and the bar.
The joint creates a swivel action that moves in every direction giving you complete flexibility of being able to position your grab bars exactly where you need them. The addition of cardan joints reduces the weight capacity of the bars from 144lbs to 110lbs.
The Hinged Flexible Joint Adapter is a plastic joint with a hinge that goes in between the grab bar and the pad. The hinged adapter moves on one plane, and is great for use in corners. Using the flexible joint adapter reduces the capacity depending on the length of the bar.
