The AMK Marine Series 1000 Kit has been specifically designed to accomadate a crew of up to ten members on short offshore adventures. It contains all the necessary components to care for multiple injuries, including burns and severely bleeding for up to 24 hours.
The enclosed Laerdal® CPR Mask allows mouth-to-mouth resuscitation with protection. The stethoscope, thermometer and blood pressure cuff allow for vital information to be determined and passed on to medical professionals once they arrive. The kit also includes a scalpel, a needle-holder (Mayo-Heger) and facilities to keep oral and nasal airways open. A splint, various bandages and wraps can be used to immobilize and support broken limbs. The heat reflective emergency blanket will keep a seriously injured and traumatized crew member from getting cold.
A handy irrigation syringe will make it possible to keep wounds irrigated if necessary. While other wounds can be quickly and easily cleaned and closed with provided wound closure strips. The foam padded case is designed to be waterproof, protecting the kit from shock and water damage. Because the case floats, it will be easily located even if the vessel should capsize.
All items of the kit are packed in color coded, reflective packs. Making it easy for the right module to be selected even under low light conditions.The Adventure Medical Kit is a marine first aid kit no vessel should leave port without.
